Field Service and Mobile Employees

We streamline the order processing workflow—from the initial request and scheduling of a service call to the technician’s work and billing for the service. Better resource planning and access to data in the field help reduce turnaround time and minimize unnecessary trips.

Where Field Service Wastes Time, Parts, and the Ability to Meet SLAs

The graphic designer can't keep up with the changes

Orders are scheduled manually without complete information about skills, routes, and priorities. The dispatcher spends time resolving issues, and technicians waste time commuting.

The technician is going without context

Patient history, symptoms, and instructions are scattered across different systems. The diagnosis begins with the patient, which prolongs the visit and increases the risk of a return visit.

A missing part interrupts the visit

The demand for parts is not linked to the work order schedule or the vehicle's condition. The technician does not complete the repair, and the company incurs the cost of another service call.

The service responds after a failure

Data from devices does not trigger a coordinated alert triage process. The team only springs into action after a system outage, resulting in lost time, missed SLAs, and a loss of customer trust.

What's Changing

From a reactive approach to a predictable service-to-cash process

A change affects a request, order, resource, part, asset, and settlement. Each status triggers the next action, and the dispatcher manages exceptions rather than rewriting the schedule.

Service requests, technician availability, and skills are coordinated over the phone, so any outage or cancellation requires manually adjusting the schedule.

The job requirements are tailored to the skills, territory, deadline, and location, and the plan is optimized according to the agreed-upon objectives.

The technician receives the address and a brief description, and obtains the device's history, instructions, and photos only upon arrival or by contacting the office.

Before leaving, the technician is familiar with the symptoms, the asset's history, the tasks, the required parts, and the SLA terms—even offline.

Parts are issued based on messages and paper lists, without reference to the service schedule, serial number, or inventory in the service vehicle.

The warehouse picks the parts for the order, confirms the release with a scan, and restocks the vehicle based on actual usage.

Signals from the devices are sent to separate panels, and the decision to intervene depends on manual monitoring and the expertise of individual specialists.

An IoT alert is classified, linked to an asset, and converted into a case or work order when remote action does not eliminate the risk.

Technologies

The technology links an order, a resource, a part, and a signal to an asset

Each layer serves a business purpose: Field Service manages operations, Power Apps supports mobile work, Tasklet partially powers the service, and Azure IoT provides signals.

Field Service

Dynamics 365 Field Service is a system for managing work orders, technicians, schedules, and field assets. We help automate service operations, reduce downtime, and increase the number of repairs completed on the first visit.

Power Apps

Microsoft Power Apps lets you quickly build low-code business applications connected to your company’s data and processes. We help you replace spreadsheets and manual tools with secure applications that can scale as your organization grows.

Tasklet

Tasklet Mobile WMS extends Dynamics 365 with mobile barcode scanning and real-time warehouse management. We help streamline receiving, putaway, order fulfillment, inventory counting, and shipping, while minimizing errors.

Azure

Microsoft Azure is a cloud platform that provides businesses with the scale, security, and flexibility they need to continue growing. We help you migrate systems, modernize your environment, integrate data and applications, and build solutions ready for automation and AI.

Services

From Process Diagnosis to Scaling a Data-Driven Service

We are streamlining service-to-cash processes, statuses, roles, data, and KPIs. We’re dividing the implementation into the following areas: core orders, mobile work, parts, planning, and asset integration.

Case Study

20–30% of daily work time saved

A manufacturer of equipment for more than 70 countries was wasting time searching for data. After implementing Dynamics 365 Sales, Customer Service , Field Service , and Power BI , the team is saving 20–30% of its time and assigning service technicians to jobs more quickly.

How We Work

First, the SLA and the order process. Then, mobility, planning, and IoT.

Process and Data Audit

We map service-to-cash, statuses, SLAs, times, assets, parts, roles, and integrations. We identify baseline KPIs and the biggest sources of losses.

Implementation and Mobile Pilot Program

We configure work orders, schedules, the technician app, and parts. We migrate data, test offline, and conduct a pilot program using actual service calls.

Scaling and Optimization

We measure first-time fix rates, utilization, travel times, and SLAs. We develop scheduling rules, automation, service inventory, and IoT responses.
